From 5 to 7 November this year, Tashkent hosted one of the region's largest transport and logistics industry forums - the 20th International Exhibition “TransLogistica Uzbekistan 2024”.
Following the tradition, VIA Latvia set up a stand at the fair to showcase Latvian services and network with potential partners. This year the Latvian delegation was represented by more than 40 participants from the transport and logistics sector - representatives of SJSC "Latvijas dzelzceļš" and its subsidiaries, Freeport of Riga, Freeport of Ventspils and Liepaja SEZ, as well as Riga Airport and a number of merchants who took the opportunity to work at the VIA Latvia stand.
“TransLogistica Uzbekistan” is the leading international specialised exhibition in Uzbekistan, bringing together market leaders and international industry experts to contribute to the development of logistics systems, transport infrastructure, transport and logistics IT technologies, investment attraction and industry growth. Alongside the transport exhibition, the “Securex 2024” security equipment exhibition took place, where visitors also visited our stand and explored opportunities for cooperation in the transport sector. The areas of most interest were road and air transport. Recently, there has been a clear trend of increasing freight volumes across Central Asia. With the participation of leading companies in the sector and a growing number of new exhibitors year after year, a visit to the exhibition provides an opportunity to assess the market situation, compare the offers of different suppliers and learn about industry trends, which are very relevant in the current global situation.
At the opening ceremony, in the presence of representatives of the Government of Uzbekistan, the diplomatic corps and representatives of the transport and logistics industry, Latvia received an award for its long-standing contribution and support to the exhibition.
