Stena Line Ports Ventspils is a multifunctional cargo handling center – one of the most modern transshipment terminals for general cargo, containers, and ro-ro cargo in the Baltic region. It covers a total area of thirty-eight hectares and has a handling capacity of 150,00 TEU and 1,500,00 tons of general cargo. The well-developed railway infrastructure of the terminal allows simultaneous storage of 233 railway wagons and processing of 126 wagons, providing loading and unloading on multiple tracks.
Open storage warehouses with an area of 175,000m2 and covered warehouses with an ara of more than 20,000 m2 are awailable in the terminal. The company has 120 connection points for handling container refrigerators (with the possibility to increase them to 250 connection points). Next to Stena Line Ports Ventspils terminal, there are customs, food and veterinary services and other authorities for fast provision of the services.
Stena Line Ports Ventspils provides quality stevedoring, cargo storage and sorting services in the field of containers, ro-ro, trailers, refrigerated containers, bulk and heavy (including non-standart) cargo, provides intermodal solutions, forwarding, and cooperates with the ferry operator Stena Line, taking advantage of the favorable geographical location on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea, at the crossroads of east-west trade routes. Railways and roads sucesfully connect Ventspils with the main cargo comsumption and distribution centres, as well as with the main industrial areas in the region.

Ltd. Reefer Cargo Terminal is one of the Lithuanian companies Girteka companies - the largest frozen food class A warehouse in the Baltic countries. The Reefer Cargo Terminal has seven refrigeration chambers with a possible temperature of -18 to -30 degrees, depending on the specificity of the product, as well as a separate chamber with a higher temperature of +5 to +12 degrees. The warehouse provides high standards of hygiene - it is equipped with the latest generation of electronic ventilation systems, temperature and humidity regulators, air circulation, modern administration and auxiliary rooms. The total warehouse area is 13,500 m² with a potential capacity of 150,000 tons of cargo per year.

It is possible to store up to 80,000 tons of cargo in the terminals large 22,000 m² wharf at the pier and up to 50,000 tons of cargo in the adjacent area. The terminal can serve PANAMAX-type vessels with a carrying capacity of 80,000 tonnes, with a maximum draft of 14.3 meters and length of 240 meters. At the same time, two smaller ships or one larger can be accepted for processing. Bulk cargo handling capacity is between 10,000 and 20,000 tonnes per day, depending on the type of cargo.
